Services
A blend of modalities used to optimize performance, mobility and recovery to enhance your favorite activities and assist in pain-management. May include interactive techniques, heat therapy and IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), along with traditional Swedish techniques. The goal of this therapy is to directly address pain/dysfunction from repetitive use or intense training and areas of imbalance that affect your mobility and movement.
These sessions are integrative because just as our needs vary so do the tools we use to meet them—as athletes and humans existing in a stressful world sometimes our goals for massage lean more towards meditative, stress-relieving relaxation, other times towards intense hands-on rehabilitative therapy. Sessions will be tailored to your goals and each session will begin with time to create a treatment plan according to your needs.
$125/hr
Integrative—Deep Tissue Sports Therapy
These sessions are purely stretching with assisted active and passive stretching techniques to help achieve greater mobility and a deeper stretch than is often possible on one's own. Unlike the integrative sessions that may include stretching alongside massage, these sessions are dedicated to stretching only and do not include hands on massage time. Great as preparation or recovery for athletic performance, increasing range of motion, and general loosening of the body.

Assisted Stretching
These sessions are meant to be held in between full body check ins and as maintenance for specific areas where you may be experiencing chronic pain or imbalance, a focused session like this could look like 20 minutes of manual therapy plus assisted stretching, positional release work, or other specialized techniques meant to deliver effective results in a shorter amount of time. It will always include a self care plan to address the fascia and other soft tissues in said target area. This is also a great booking for those days when you wake up with a crick in your neck (or shoulder, or hip, etc.) but don’t have time for a longer session. Short but to the point!

Flexible pricing and no cost sessions available.
One intention of my practice is to attempt to shift the narrative of massage as a ‘treat’ or ‘indulgence’. These ideas regarding bodywork convey that stress and pain relief is a luxury and something to reach to on a special occasion rather than incorporate as part of a healthcare plan. Part of that reason is because it is often too expensive to be a regular therapy, and that accessibility factor is something I attempt to address by offering a sliding scale. I commit to strive towards being compassionate, trauma-informed, body-positive, gender-affirming and client-centered in my life and practice. In order to keep my business healthy and sustained I have set my prices at rates that allow me to cover overhead costs, continue my education, grow, work at a rate that is sustainable for my body, and offer low and no cost sessions to community members who need it.
I offer two sliding scale sessions per week available for 60 or 90 minute sessions, the scale is set at $60-125/hr, feel free to pay what you’d like within the scale. I also offer a couple no-cost sessions throughout the month available to Asheville and surrounding area BIPOC community. I view this as one way I can contribute to reparative justice. If you’d like to reserve one of these sessions please reach out via email or text to confirm availability, I will confirm that with you and then you can book a time good for you online.
Consider paying less on the scale if you..
are supporting children or have other dependents
have significant debt
have medical expenses not covered by insurance
are eligible for public assistance
have immigration-related expenses
are an elder with limited financial support
are an unpaid community organizer
are a returning citizen who has been denied work due to incarceration history
experience discrimination in hiring or pay level
are descended from enslaved people or Native American Indians (I recognize that much of my privilege has come at the expense of these communities)
Consider paying more on the scale if you:
own the home you live in
have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money
travel for recreation
have access to family money and resources in times of need
work part time or are unemployed by choice, including unemployment due to full-time school in a degree-earning program
have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, etc.) Even if you are not currently exercising your earning power, I ask you to recognize this as a choice
Other things to consider: Consider paying less on the scale if you feel as though multiple sessions within a week or month will benefit you, and are not accessible at the current rate. I want to provide a service that is accessible enough financially for folks to receive care and ongoing management instead of a one-time ‘treat’. I believe that bodywork is a necessary and vital way to increase health and mitigate the multitude of damages caused by stress from our toxic environment and society.
The scale is intended to be a map, inviting each of us to take inventory of our financial resources and look deeper at our levels of privilege. It is a way to challenge the classist society we live in and work towards economic justice on a local level.
Do you feel as though you have extra money to gift massage to someone else who can’t afford it? Let me know and I can help you gift to someone in need.
I adapted this pricing model from Jillian at Threshold Bodywork and they adapted it from practitioners preceding them (Nasrene Kordani, Ride Free Fearless Money, Little Red Bird Botanicals and Pronia Coaching. If you would like to use this model, please credit these organizations and me). Thank you for laying down the groundwork.
